Unfortunately, I haven't been flying as much with FLYNYON lately but I was able to go on a recent trip over the city before leaving for Florida. This photo was taken with something a little different than I usually use. Whenever I fly with them, I'm usually shooting video with my Sony A7SII with a 24-70mm in one hand and a DJI OSMO in the other. The Sony is good for tighter shots and the OSMO is great for super smooth wide angle shots...

It's super rare that I take a selfie of myself whether its with my camera or my phone but for a minute I had an extremely narcissistic moment. At Samsung 837 they have all sorts of crazy cool things to try out and check out from their VR technology to their massive three story projection screen. This though, is truly a one of a kind experience no matter where you are...

Living in NYC for pretty much my whole life, I've obviously been to every borough and pretty much every part of the city. However, I didn't realize until recently that I've never been to Governors Island. It's just a $2 ferry ride from downtown Manhattan and it only takes about 3 minutes each way. A few months ago I started working with NYonAir and FlyNYON as a video editor. Once in a while, I go up on a flight to shoot some BTS video for their social media outlets. Last year I blogged about my experience as a customer in what it was like to dangle your legs over the skyscrapers. Now I'm fortunate enough to be working together with these amazing people...

A few weeks ago, NYC went through a super soggy patch of weather. It rained and was cloudy every day for 7 or 8 days in a row which was miserable and completely unmotivating. I decided to take a trip into the city anyway to shoot inside some train stations and a few other indoor locations with a buddy of mine. Throughout the whole day, I noticed the Freedom Tower was submerged under the fog and the top half of the building was completely hidden and it kind of had a "stairway to heaven" look...

I'm adding a new series to the blog called Photo Of The Week. There are 2 main reasons I decided to do this: First, I failed at my Dogwood 52 Week Challenge, and second, I've been shooting a lot lately in my free time and have been building up a ton of photos...
