A NYC Bike Ride Home From Photo Plus
After attending the Photo Plus expo the other weekend, you see so many amazing huge prints, new gear, and hear free seminars that you can't help but want to go out and shoot photos right away. Staten Island is known mostly for having the Staten Island Ferry which is a free ferry boat that commutes 24 hours a day, 7 days a week back and forth from Staten Island and Manhattan. It's a big tourist attraction since it's free and also has great views of downtown Manhattan and the Statue Of Liberty. For many, many years I've skated this part of the Island and especially the Staten Island Yankee Stadium which offers this view of lower Manhattan as well but I somehow never noticed how far back the view reached...

I keep getting these purple tones from these Freedom Tower photos. I posted an older image a few weeks ago that was similar in tone and this quickly reminded me of that. We just missed the sunset on this flight so we caught the cityscape just in time for blue hour. Blue hour is easily one of the best times for a FlyNYON flight because even though you don't get the nice warm glow of the sunset, you have the dark ambient light balanced out by all the twinkling city lights turning on bellow. It's really something that's truly unique to any photo experience...
