When people ask us for tips on how to take photos out of a helicopter, one thing we always push is to shoot in burst mode. This might be obvious to more wildlife or sports photographers, but to most, it isn't but can make or break the type of images you get on a flight.
I recently got the Sony A7III and as far as speed, it's a huge upgrade from my previous Sony A7RII. I can now shoot at 10fps which is usually way more than anyone needs, but for stuff like this, it's perfect.
Photos like this are tough because the helicopter is usually traveling around 60 Knots (about 70mph) over the buildings, which is faster than the average speed limit on a highway. Next time you're speeding down the freeway, think about hanging your 70-200mm out the window while trying to time a shot like this.
