I've flown over New York City a million times and it never seems to get old. I often think of other cities it would be cool to fly around in an open door helicopter and it always seems hard to top NYC. New York is so vast, there's always something new to see. However, it was refreshing to finally see a new perspective on a city I've visited a few times already...

I've flown in helicopters many times above NYC, usually around the 1,000 to 1,500ft altitude, but I was lucky enough to be taken to another level the other day. On August 26th of this year, FlyNYON will be hosting 2 high altitude flights to experience an open door helicopter ride 7,500ft above New York City!

This became one of my favorite photos from my recent trip to Iceland. There are a bunch of things Iceland is known for like snow, wind, glaciers, and volcanos but you wouldn't often picture a quaint church on a grassy hill...
Read MorePhoto Of The Week 44 - Winter Storm Advisory? - New York, New York
Another one of the Manhattan skyline but there was something unique about this day. This morning, New York woke up to a winter storm advisory with high winds and heavy snowfall. On my way to the office, it was nothing but pretty outside with the icy roads and extremely limited visibility...
Read MorePhoto Of The Week 43 - Blue Hour Freedom Tower - New York, New York
I keep getting these purple tones from these Freedom Tower photos. I posted an older image a few weeks ago that was similar in tone and this quickly reminded me of that. We just missed the sunset on this flight so we caught the cityscape just in time for blue hour. Blue hour is easily one of the best times for a FlyNYON flight because even though you don't get the nice warm glow of the sunset, you have the dark ambient light balanced out by all the twinkling city lights turning on bellow. It's really something that's truly unique to any photo experience...

Last week I took a trip to Arizona for a weekend trip in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. There were many things that impressed me about this small city and most of it were things that weren't even in the city itself...

I figured I would follow up the ending of my Cuba blog with a more detailed look at one of the photos from the post. Upon closer look, there are a few things that stand out to me about this image...

I'm happy to be able to start 2017 off with some fresh new photos from another part of the world. I've only spent New Years Eve outside of New York once before but this was the first time I spent it internationally. Once I found out that I was going to be in Dubai, this was one of the first images that popped into my head to capture while I was out here...
Read MorePhoto Of The Week 32 - More West Coast Silhouettes - Venice Beach, California
As mentioned in my last post about Venice Beach, one of the best parts about this area of California are the sunsets. I think the best way to utilize sunsets are by shooting silhouettes. They're one of the only ways to isolate the colors and contrast in the sky without capturing a typical boring landscape photo...
