Living in NYC for pretty much my whole life, I've obviously been to every borough and pretty much every part of the city. However, I didn't realize until recently that I've never been to Governors Island. It's just a $2 ferry ride from downtown Manhattan and it only takes about 3 minutes each way. This little place is well worth the visit. You get a nice view of the Manhattan skyline and you're pretty close to the Statue Of Liberty.
I caught this shot of my good friend, Corey, riding by one of the ring roads of the island while passing the Lady Liberty. First shot framed perfectly between the two rails in the fence and we were on our way back to Manhattan!
