Living in NYC for pretty much my whole life, I've obviously been to every borough and pretty much every part of the city. However, I didn't realize until recently that I've never been to Governors Island. It's just a $2 ferry ride from downtown Manhattan and it only takes about 3 minutes each way. This little place is well worth the visit. You get a nice view of the Manhattan skyline and you're pretty close to the Statue Of Liberty...
