A few weeks ago, NYC went through a super soggy patch of weather. It rained and was cloudy every day for 7 or 8 days in a row which was miserable and completely unmotivating. I decided to take a trip into the city anyway to shoot inside some train stations and a few other indoor locations with a buddy of mine. Throughout the whole day, I noticed the Freedom Tower was submerged under the fog and the top half of the building was completely hidden and it kind of had a "stairway to heaven" look.
I took a few shots throughout the day while I was passing it by and the photos were cool but nothing special. When we got out of one of the train stations after the sun set, I noticed how the tower was glowing and reflecting the lights and fog from above. It was way more visually appealing and I was able to get nice and close to snap this shot. I thought it was a nice photo but other people seemed to have enjoyed it more than me.
