A few months ago I started working with NYonAir and FlyNYON as a video editor. Once in a while, I go up on a flight to shoot some BTS video for their social media outlets. Last year I blogged about my experience as a customer in what it was like to dangle your legs over the skyscrapers. Now I'm fortunate enough to be working together with these amazing people.
This was during an Air to Air shoot where there send one helicopter to shoot another flying around the city. I was shooting BTS of the 3 other photographers on board this helicopter during the whole thing. The stretch up the Hudson river takes about a minute so I was able to snap this shot looking back downtown where we came from. This was was taken almost completely blind since I wasn't able to turn around all the way so I just pre-focused and fired away. Luckily I got one that came out perfect.
