Unfortunately, I haven't been flying as much with FLYNYON lately but I was able to go on a recent trip over the city before leaving for Florida. This photo was taken with something a little different than I usually use. Whenever I fly with them, I'm usually shooting video with my Sony A7SII with a 24-70mm in one hand and a DJI OSMO in the other. The Sony is good for tighter shots and the OSMO is great for super smooth wide angle shots.
This was a half hour flight so I had plenty of time to shoot and we did a couple of loops around everything the customers on board wanted to see. This gave me an opportunity to try snapping some shots with the OSMO. The pilot did a couple of quick steep turns and you get to be almost face to face with the top of the buildings so after the first or second time I was ready to get a photo. It's tough with the OSMO when your'e hanging out of a helicopter since it can be really windy and blow the camera around but I managed to get this shot over Times Square. The Processing is a little different than usual for me but I felt it was appropriate since it was touching 90˚ that day.
