I took a quick trip to LA this past week to hang out see some friends, skate around and shoot some photos. I didn't get to shoot as many photos as I'd hoped but at least I got to check out the sunset one night in Venice Beach.
Venice Beach reminds me of Times Square in NYC. It's a really cheesy, touristy place where locals never go but when you're visiting you have to at least take a peek. Luckily I was able to swing by around the time of sunset which has got to be the best time to be there. One of the things I had to shoot was the iconic VENICE sign before the main entrance of the beach area. As I waited for the lights to turn on, I was surprised to see the lights turn on red and green for Christmas. While I waited for the red traffic light, I jumped in the middle of the street and grabbed this shot.
