For as long as I could remember, the one thing I always wanted to do in this industry was shoot a car commercial. I love cars and I love cinema, and I always wanted the opportunity to combine them both. The incorporation of speed, engines growling, rubber burning, the mix of speed and slow motion always appealed to me. Unfortunately, I never had the budget to shoot one....until now.
A couple of years ago, a friend and myself started buying toy wind up cars at CVS's on a drive across country and would race them at rest stops along the way. Ive always had the idea to mimic a segment from my favorite shot "Top Gear" with them since most of the cars were featured on that program one time or another.
I took the narration of Jeremy Clarkson from the game "Forza 4", played a track in the background, and turned my computer desk into a mini studio.

This is the setup on my glass computer desk with a softbox above, 2 LEDs, and my TV as the backdrop.
The 2 LEDs worked perfect for an edgy/dramatic backdrop also.
The whole video was shot on a Panasonic GH4 with a Canon 50mm f/1.4 and Canon 100mm f/2.8L.
