I've owned drones since the DJI Phantom 2 a few years ago and realized that the past year or so, I haven't used it recreationally as much as I should. I started using it for more of my weddings and it became just another "tool" that I had. A drone is so much fun to play with that I believe it should be more of a toy than a tool.
Due to my recent purchase of the DJI Mavic Pro, I've been doing a bit more drone flying lately. I've always had a DJI Phantom 3 Professional but the portability of the Mavic Pro makes me want to take it out more which is its main selling point.
After carrying my new toy around in the cup holder of my car, I took it out for a spin around Staten Island. I got this shot right before the sun was going down of the Verrazano Bridge. Luckily it was a clear day so you're also able to see Brooklyn and Manhattan in the background as well. This is one of the great things about drones these days, you can get a view like this in seconds.
Here is another photo shot from this flight.
