The thing about winter time in New York is that you don't get as many of these magical sunsets like you do throughout the summer. As the temperature begins to drop at the end of the year, they become less and less frequent.
This photo was taken a few weeks ago and I feel like it was one of the last memorable sunsets of the year. I was about to take the ferry from Manhattan back to Staten Island when I saw the sunset peaking between a few buildings downtown. I raced over to the water to get a clear view and there was already crowds of people doing the same thing throughout Battery Park. Instead of taking a photo next to everyone else of just the sunset I decided to take a few steps back and include them in the image. So here I have this photo of a bunch of people checking out one of the last amazing sunsets of 2016...
