2 years ago today, myself along with the skating community lost a true friend. All over Facebook I kept seeing people from all over the world showing love for Alex Nunez and sending their condolences to his friends and family. The thing that struck me was how big of an impact Alex had on all these people's lives just from watching his skating. When I heard the news about his passing, I didn't think of how we lost a great skater, I thought of how the world lost such an amazing person. Most people didn't really know about Alex as a person, which gave me the motivation to make this little documentary on him.
I just wanted all of his fans around the world to know how he always looked out for his friends, was a motivation to everyone around him, and how much he loved his mother and family. I asked some of his close friends to say a few words about Alex at his memorial session in Queens, NY to give everyone a first hand view on what what an amazing person he really was.
