I think it's safe to say that everyone who skates has been through this before. You're young and stupid and you build sketchy obstacles and hope you come out alive. Back when I used to skate New Jersey with the Gnar Mobile crew every weekend, we were all about that.
I think we were rolling through this college campus and couldn't really find much to skate so someone had the bright idea to throw a few pieces of wood onto a chain linked fence that wasn't secured by much else besides Erik Stokley. A few jumps were done, then Jay actually pulled off this sweeeeeet 360 Lu Kang over it:
For whatever reason, he decided to do it again. Maybe it was for another angle or maybe he wanted to 540 it, I don't remember to be honest. I was shooting a sequence this time around so I was able to catch this last frame of Jay's tailbone about to be smashed into the cement from 6ft above the ground. I say "last frame" because it was the last picture I took before I realized what was about to happen and my face looked just like Erik's in the photo below. A lesson well learned....from all of us.
