In 2010 I was blessed to be on the cover of the AggressiveMall holiday catalog. It feels good to be apart of something that shows up in every blader's mailbox, especially when its something as top notch as this periodical. From the photos to layouts to the print quality to the overall content of the catalog, Amall did it right as they do with everything else they're involved in.
Its getting tough but I would LOVE to see more print these days, something to hold in your hands and be proud of, something you can read on the bus or train and show off to your friends at school and let them know how sick skating is. I remember getting the new Daily Bread when I got home from school then rushing out to a session so everyone can read the latest pro interview or discuss which "Section 8" photos were worthy of hanging on our walls. Technology is heading in a direction that leaves print behind in our industry. There's still a whole aisle of magazines at Barnes And Noble, people are still buying them which gives me hope. However the internet is sometimes like SnapChat, it's diminishing the quality of content people put out. I can only hope that one day this paperless era will come to an end.
